Default Anguished Was Lingwah

Rit/E's are teh new hotness, thanks to Glyph of Renewal and Anguished was Lingwah. This allows you to summon a pain spirit every 15 seconds, with no upper limit on the number of spirits you can have. The regular binding ritual only permits 1 spirit of a type per team- I found it easy to produce six or seven, while still having six more slots on my skillbar to play with. In fact, I'm running an E/rit right now because I'd only been unlocking assassin skills- with just one rit skill, I'm a moderately effective spirit summoner.

If you try again, you'll find out you can only have 1 spirit of any one kind, summoning the 2nd one will kill the 1st one. But in the case with Anguished Was Lingwah, if you already have a spirit of Pain from the usual binding ritual, the one summoned by Lingwah WILL DIE upom being summoned..

Actually this tactic does work. Looks like spirit spamming and spiking might become the new FotM.

It helps to know what you're talking about before you post. I've seen this work as well, and it is shaping up to be another spirit-spam.

This tactic definitely works. I was hanging around the Zaishen Challenge area, when someone asked for Ritualists for a spirit team. He took me in even though I'm only playing with a free key for the weekend (no slots left on my usual accts) and had to make do with one of the templates, not having faction built up to buy new skills. I set up the spirits I had, he and another Rit/E put up theirs, and the lone warrior waled away on the opposing team.

The first round didn't go so well, apparently there was a conflict between the other two RitEs spirit so that when one was cast, it killed the previous. I took the faction I'd built up during the day and bought Vengeful Weapon and we tried again. Five victories later, we were in the Elite Challenge.

So I'd say it was a pretty effective idea.

IMO it would work better with a ranger's oath shot since it will recharge all your skills instead of just the anguished was lingwah.

I tried it.I think I got up to about 8 spirits before they started to die.Its ok but the spirits would all attack different things so not that quite effective.

Speaking of spirit spamming my PvP SS necro was killing ritualists VERY fast due to that (9-10 energy every time a spirit expired).

Oath shot is by far the best recharger thugh. It is instant.

I know what I am talking about, the situation is a bit different that's all. Maybe you can try what I said and realise that I might be right.

1. Cast Pain.
2. Cast Anguished Was Lingwah (Lingwah Pain will spawn and die, that's what happened to me when I tested it out in the practice place)

I thought of the combo and I did try it, but it didn't work for me when I tried it (I'm at work, so no GW to try again). But I guess the original post meant:

1. Anguished Was Lingwah
2. Anguished Was Lingwah
3. Anguished Was Lingwah
4. etc
and NO Pain at all.

However I did not try just summoning Lingwah Pains just by themselves, maybe they won't die this way. I will try it when I get the chance.

A simple solution would be to make spirits have no collision size, they are "spirits" after all.

Spirit spamming rangers seem to be back. I was running a R/Rt with oath shot and 6 spirits; high expertise allows you to keep spamming expensive spirits non-stop. Goes very well with some ranger spirits that you'd normally want in your build.

It makes since, though, I mean, Pain doesn't seem all that interesting on its own.

Wrath from Beyond - 10 en, 1 cast, 12 recharge
Elite Spell. For each nearby Spirit, one nearby foe is struck for 10- lightning damage. (The same foe cannot be struck more than once.)
I think it gets to ~21 dmg/spirit, get Glyph of Rewnal and Anguished Was Lingwah, and you've got a powerfull single-hit spell.

it actually goes to 62 damage(there about)...

but seeing as they can't be struck more than once basically what you get with six spirits NEARBY is the ability to strike six foes who is NEARBY for 62 damage each...it's kinda lame

someone correct me if I read this skill wrong...

There is a different one that takes ~50 health from each nearby spirit and does that much damage to one person

That's not bad at all considering the pain spirits are also dishing out their own damage.

Would an orders necro make this even deadlier? I THINK SO!

Spell. Up to 5 Spirits in the area around you lose 10-18 Health. Target foe is struck for 10-18 lightning damage for each spirit that lost Health this way.
Had the wrong "from Beyond" spell before Maybe thats still wrong, the players seemed to be taking more than 100 damage per hit. In the match that I saw, it wasn't the spirits that did the killing, it was the spirit-powered spell.
